Prortrait Cora Spaulding, MD, MPH

          CORA SPAULDING, MD, MPH

WELCOME, I'M DR. SPAULDING!

I am a medical doctor board certified in multiple specialties including Family, Lifestyle, and Obesity Medicine, as well as Health coaching.  While lifestyle and behavior modification are indispensable tools in my practice, I am also trained in the use of conventional prescription medications and complementary therapies to manage chronic medical conditions.

I earned a BA degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and  received my MD degree from Duke University Medical School. I completed residency training in Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Following residency, I pursued research fellowship training in clinical epidemiology at UNC at Chapel Hill, and received a Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology.

I served as a faculty member in the UNC Department of Family Medicine for several years, caring for patients, conducting research and teaching residents and medical students.

After transitioning to private practice, I completed additional training and certification in Integrative Medicine, Health Coaching, Lifestyle Medicine and Obesity Medicine.

I currently offer in-person, Lifestyle Medicine consultations in a private practice setting for patients who are residents of Nevada. In this capacity, I do not provide primary or urgent care, though I welcome collaboration with other providers. Individuals in my practice should maintain an active relationship with a primary care provider for routine care, screenings, and any urgent needs.
